Straight Talk Wireless is THE WORST Customer trained rep on the planet. After 4 months of their service, no one can resolve the problem on my web page log in account and my cell phone device. I am only spending my money because its cheap, therefore, you get cheap crappy service.

@batgirljamie And also Straight Talk costs a LOT less to use than the iPhone 4, which is probably the best phone you can possibly buy but isn’t worth the cost unless you’re swimming in money. In which case you should get an E71 from straight talk and use it as much as you want.

@mrftdck67 ok the iphone 4 is the best cell out there and u cant get it for any comp but at&t or verizan and have nto have a contract but straighttalk is not contract and u just pay for the phone cards at walmart and pujt em on ur phone the day ur plan is due no sooner u have to get it on there the day its due no sooner cause u wont get ur full 30 days u put the card on too soon but u put it on late u get shut off cause ur phone is no contract so u can stop using at any time u want!

@ncPsychosis thats not true both me and my 2 friends who have it both paid late and did not loose our number you just gotta call em and I paid 4 days late and did not loose my number only was late paying once!

  • ncPsychosis says on: May 25, 2011 at 3:05 pm

PLEASE NOTE: One downside to Straight Talk is that they DO NT allow you to make late payments. If you don’t renew your minutes after 30 days, you forfeit your phone number. You’ll have to reactivate your phone, with a new number…even if it’s only ONE day late. ALWAYS renew before the 30 days run out.

the Nokia e71 for ST is such a huge improvement..the first ST phone I got was the one that you have…and the web was okay..the only thing I didn’t like was the limited text message memory capacity – after 100 text messages, you had to start deleting them. I like to keep my txts for ages! lol.

You convinced me never to go to t-mobile..their phones attract me…
    but ugh..they suck.

  • ncPsychosis says on: May 25, 2011 at 4:01 pm

@islay263 yes..and if you haven’t already, I recommend you get the Nokia’s their most advanced phone and for the same price (and plan) you get a much better feature phone…faster internet, gps navigation, and a more “smart-phone” look.

The difference would only be $100..even if it takes you a couple months to save up for the’s worth it…the only way to keep ST to be happy with the phone..because the reception is great!

  • darylb468 says on: May 25, 2011 at 5:08 pm

Yeah I’ve used both and I like Straight Talk a little better. Pretty much same cost and features but Straight Talk has way better signal strength. Neither is very good with the web, unfortunately you need a contract for that 3G.!

@kgriggs75 my mfriend did too cause he was paying $80 to $300 depending on how much he used his phone one mnth he got slammed by sprint forover $300 and now he only pays $45 and gets more for his money!

  • kgriggs75 says on: May 25, 2011 at 6:01 pm

@islay263 i was on a contract before and even after the cacelation charge i save 600 in cell bills last year.

  • jdrasdet456 says on: May 25, 2011 at 6:29 pm

@islay263 yeah that’s pretty much right. I haven’t had any other experiences or negative things and I’ve got the same phone you have, been using it for about three months and all of my iPhone-using friends wonder why they are broke and yet I can get to the same sites.

  • batgirljamie says on: May 25, 2011 at 6:43 pm

@islay263 Ok the smart phones are $200

@batgirljamie I’m so tempted to go with Straight Talk when I read all the comments but cancelling my contract will cost over $100.00….I’ve done the math and the savings will cover that but how much will the Nokia 6790 cost me? I understand there are no other start up costs and that once I’ve bought the phone ST will cost me just $45.00 a month for unlimited calls, texting, 411 calls and web browsing…is this right?

  • apexscalper says on: May 25, 2011 at 8:19 pm

Thanks for the info batgirljamie. On the Boost commercials, they say it is $50 flat including tax, maybe they have since changed their policy?

  • batgirljamie says on: May 25, 2011 at 8:54 pm

@apexscalper you have to pay taxes on boost too there are sales taxes for every phone card you buy!

  • batgirljamie says on: May 25, 2011 at 9:00 pm

straight talk runs off of verizen network and boost runs off of sprint nextel. I get better service with my straight talk then i ever did with my boost.

  • apexscalper says on: May 25, 2011 at 9:32 pm

I use Straight Talk and it is just great. However, with taxes it is about $48 and change each month, not $45 for unlimited everything. With Boost, you start out at a $50 flat fee for unlimited everything, no taxes. After every six payments you go down $5 untill you reach $35 flat for unlimited everything. So in the long run, Boost will be about $13.00 cheaper each month.

Please comment some more on the Nokia 6790. It seems like the best smart phone around. What do you think?

  • ffreda6 says on: May 25, 2011 at 10:16 pm

A $5.00 a month saving is still $60.00 a year and the fact that Straight Talk have the best coverage by far with Verizon makes this debate a no-brainer….Straight Talk wins by a mile! I like that they are part of Tracfone who are the biggest and best in the prepaid field and have won all the accolades there are!

  • jimmydarmody713 says on: May 25, 2011 at 11:14 pm

@debsumm I think the best part about straight talk isn’t the price but rather the fact that you don’t have to sign a contract. What’s with all that small print? And why do they need to lock you away for two years in order to do business with you? seems shady

  • mschroder799 says on: May 25, 2011 at 11:32 pm

@batgirljamie Ya if you’re into that then the Nokia is a great choice, just got mine a few months ago and also loving the ability to check my email on the go anywhere for just 45 bucks a month.

@dolphan127 So what all can the nokia 6790 do on the straight talk can u play farmville from facebook

  • vio says on: September 21, 2011 at 1:44 am

Comment…cmda boost kicks st butt. Do you st peps use mobile internet? Sts highest priced phones are the only ones that play you tube. Im an ex st owner for a year before i used a boost incognito which i ended buying at 79.99. I downloaded opera mini now have a phone thats superior to any nokia strtaight talk. Have any st fans notice they block javascript? Not only that but every phone they have is used. Thats why its easy to get a replacement as they are obsolete. No homework here to do. Check your service area and if you have boost available then thats your best bet.
